The NeXaver Story
The active principle NeXaver
Michaela Wolf, herself an active dressage rider, developed the NeXaver halter in 2017 originally for horses with pre-existing neck problems.
A veterinarian had approached the managing director of Klaus Ueberholz, a fine carpenter’s workshop in Solingen, to ask if she could develop a halter for a patient’s horse with a severe neck bump in her leather goods factory. This horse was not allowed to wear a conventional halter, but could now be moved and tethered again with the new NeXaver halter, which relieved the diseased neck area.
The test phase with Michaela Wolf’s own horses showed that even healthy animals accept the NeXaver principle of action, which is gentle on the horse’s neck, very well and cooperate contentedly. Even a friend’s horse, which often laid down in the halter when tethered, remained calm with the NeXaver.
True to the old folk wisdom “prevention is better than cure”, the company has worked with riders, trainers, therapists and doctors to develop further innovative products that serve the welfare of horses, such as the NeXaver lunging bridle and the NeXaver sn affles.
